Yes. In January 2026, Grooni Earthing became Grooni Wellness.

It is the same company, the same team and the same products. The name changed to reflect a range that now covers PEMF therapy alongside the grounding and earthing products we started with in 2020. Existing warranties and orders are unaffected.

They give your body a conductive path to the earth, the same connection you get standing barefoot outside.

Grounding products are made from conductive materials — silver-coated fibre, carbon fibre or stainless steel fibre, depending on the product. That material connects to the earth either through the grounding port of a wall outlet or through a grounding rod placed in soil outside, allowing electrons to flow between the earth and your body.

Four steps: unpack, test your outlet with the included ground checker, connect the coil cord, then place the product where you'll use it.

1. Unpack your kit

Each kit contains a ground checker, a coil cord and the earthing product itself. Check all three are present before you start.

2. Check your ground

Plug the ground checker into the wall outlet you plan to use. This confirms your home's electrical system is properly grounded, which is what allows electrons to flow between you and the earth outside.

3. Make the connection

Insert one end of the coil cord into the plug-in point on your earthing product, and the other end into the grounding port of the wall outlet.

4. Set up your space

Place the product wherever suits your routine — under your fitted sheet, across a couch, or at your desk.

Connecting without a grounded outlet

If your home has no grounded electrical system, use a grounding rod instead. The rod goes directly into soil outside and connects to your product by cord.

• International: DHL or UPS, who typically hand the package to your local postal service for final delivery.

Yes. A tracking number and link are emailed to you automatically when your order ships.

Tracking information isn't always live immediately. It can take up to 3 days for a number to become active in the carrier's system, so if there are no updates at first, check back later.

Check your spam folder first, then contact us if tracking hasn't updated within 2 business days (US and Canada) or 1 week (international).

You can also see live tracking links by opening the chat icon on our website and selecting Track Orders. If you still need help, contact our support team with your order number.

Possibly. Orders shipped outside the United States may be subject to duties, taxes and import charges set by your country's customs authority.

As the recipient you are the importer of record, so any customs clearance charges are your responsibility. Customs policies vary widely between countries and we cannot predict or advise on the amount — your local customs office can. Customs clearance can also add delays beyond our normal delivery estimates.

If you refuse a shipment, you are responsible for the original shipping cost, any duties or customs charges incurred on both the outbound and return legs, and the cost of returning the package to us. These amounts are deducted from your refund.

• PEMF mats: 60 days from delivery.
• Grounding mats: 60 days from delivery.
• Sheets and blankets: 30 days from delivery. For hygiene reasons these can only be returned completely unused and in their original packaging.

US and Canada: use our Returns Portal with your order number and email.

If you've opened or tried the product, select "the packaging is not intact" in the portal. This helps our warehouse team and does not affect your refund.

International orders: ship the item back to our Atlanta facility using any trackable carrier, then message our support team to complete your refund.

No — customers cover return shipping, except when an item arrives damaged or incorrect.

• Portal returns (US and Canada): the label cost is deducted from your refund automatically.
• International returns: you pay the carrier directly.
• Damaged or incorrect items: contact support and we reimburse your shipping costs.

Store credit is available almost instantly once your return is approved. Refunds to your original payment method take 2–3 business days after processing.

The exact timing for card refunds depends on your bank.

Yes. We fit the correct plug for your destination country before shipping, so you don't need an adapter.

Use the PEMF Testing Bottle included in your package.

PEMF works through magnetic fields, so you usually can't feel it by touch. Place the testing bottle on the mat while a program is running and you'll get visual confirmation that the magnetic field is active.

No. Switching the mat off is safe and sufficient.

If you're going away or won't use it for several days, unplugging it is a sensible habit for protecting any electronics, but it isn't required.

No. They carry only the earth's electrons and draw no electrical power.

Every Grooni grounding cord also contains a built-in current-limiting resistor, which protects you in the unlikely event of current reaching the grounding wire.

Yes. Homes are rarely struck, and lightning takes the path of least resistance — plumbing, electrical wiring, cable lines — all of which are directly grounded.

Your earthing product connects to ground through a thin wire with a built-in current-limiting resistor. It would never be the easiest path to ground, and the resistor would fail before current could reach you.

Most homes built after the 1960s have a grounded electrical system, so a normal plug-in connection works.

If your home doesn't have one, use the grounding rod to connect directly to soil outside. A ground checker is included in every kit so you can confirm which applies to you.

Yes, provided it's a three-prong extension cord or surge protector plugged into a properly grounded outlet.

No — we recommend leaving it connected.

Grounding products don't run on electricity, so there's no safety reason to unplug. Leaving the cord in place also helps prevent oxidation building up on the metal prongs, which keeps the connection strong and extends the product's life.

No — rain improves it. Moisture increases conductivity and electron flow.

If you live somewhere dry, watering the ground around the rod weekly helps maintain conductivity.

Yes. There is no conflict between grounding products and these devices.

Yes. You can place the mat directly under your regular fitted sheet and still ground effectively.

Shortly after you lie down, normal humidity and the natural moisture from your skin slightly hydrate the fabric, creating a conductive channel that lets your body absorb the earth's electrons through the sheet.

Yes. Grounding improves blood flow, which raises the temperature of your extremities.

This is normal, safe, and one of the documented effects of earthing.

We recommend a continuity tester rather than a voltmeter, for simplicity.

If you prefer a voltmeter, note that our grounding cords contain a built-in safety resistor, which requires specific meter settings to give an accurate reading. The Earthing Institute publishes an instructional paper on measuring body voltage that covers the method.

Machine wash on a gentle cycle in warm water with a neutral liquid detergent, then line dry in the shade.

Avoid bleach, fabric softener, whitening or oxi detergents, detergents containing essential oils, and dryer sheets. Don't dry clean, and don't dry in direct sunlight — UV damages the conductive fibres. Give items plenty of room in the drum; overloading causes friction and premature wear.

Wash roughly once a week, and inspect periodically for thinning fabric or wear, which reduces conductivity over time.

Wipe the leather surface with a soft cloth dampened with clean water, then let it air dry completely.

For stubborn marks, apply a mild neutral detergent to the area and wipe gently — do not rub hard. Never submerge or soak the mat, machine wash it, or use harsh chemicals.

Because the mat sits under your fitted sheet it rarely needs heavy cleaning. Inspect it occasionally for damage, which reduces conductivity.

Yes. Earthing products are as safe for pets as walking on the earth outside.

Most animals gravitate towards the surface on their own over time and get the same benefits.
